At La Campagnola San Rafael fruit pulps are produced for the subsequent manufacture of jams and sweets. Water is an essential input, being used not only to wash raw materials and equipment, but during the pulp concentration process.
As set forth in the corporate guidelines, several changes have been designed and implemented to prepare the premises to achieve reduction in water use by optimizing in-situ control systems and applying water reuse strategies.
Main actions include:
To reuse water previously used in concentrators for the heat exchanger in the fruit-washing sector by installing a return circuit.
